Our personalized school tours provide age-appropriate educational activities both in our picturesque orchards and our grading, storage and sales area.  All of our tour guides are knowledgeable concerning all aspects of our family farm.  Our tours win rave reviews over and over again from groups near and far.

Each group will have an approximately 90-minute tour which will include:

• A walking guided tour of our orchards, including apples, peaches, pears and plums and the Kent Community Gardens.
• A walking guided tour of our 2.5 acre corn maze. (No additional cost for school tours).
• A walking guided tour “behind the scenes” through our grading/storage facilities and our fully-stocked country store.

Each group will receive complimentary pasteurized cider and apples to enjoy following the tour.

Beckwith Orchards provides tours to approximately 4000 school children annually. School groups come from a multi-county area to see a working, family farm that was established in 1878. The fourth and fifth generation of the Beckwith family are now involved in the day to day operations of the farm.

Each year, pre-schools, elementary schools, Head Start Programs, home schooled, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and many more children’s groups tour our family farm.

We require a minimum of 15 students per group. Tour costs are $3.50 per student or adult chaperone. Teachers are always free of charge.  For an extra 50¢ per child, a Beckwith’s Orchard coloring book is available.
